To Europort!
Yes, we may; the exhibitions planned for this autumn will go ahead! With utter joy we look forward to meet everyone again on the Europort 2021. ADS van STIGT will be present with a more extensive presence than ever before. Under the motto “stronger through cooperation” ADS parent company Stokvis Group, has acquired Verhoef EMC in the summer of this year.
Verhoef EMC is an electrotechnical company located in Sliedrecht. Autonomous operation will continue albeit under guidance from ADS van STIGT. Sister companies ELSTO and ADS van STIGT already cooperated on Bonfiglioli planetary gearboxes and the complementary electric- and hydraulic motors, with the addition of Verhoef EMC an even more complete package can be offered.
Dave Plug director at ADS van STIGT explains the reason for the takeover:
“At this moment we see a serious increase in market interest for hybrid and electrical propulsion systems, and all our customers are busy with sustainability in one form or another. Not only for us, but for all suppliers who are involved in the power train on board, it is very important to be part of this development, being able to provide what the customers are now asking for. As a result of this ADS van STIGT developed an interest in broadening the scope of what we can supply on board. We are happy with the acquisition of Verhoef EMC, and together with the other Stokvis Group companies we can offer our customers a significant extra value”.
On the Europort 2021 we therefore take part as a group of companies; Verhoef EMC, ELSTO and ADS van STIGT, all belonging to the Stokvis Group. Our stand is designed with the focus on meeting each other again, since it was a pretty long wait to do so.
Also attention for the different brands represented by the group. You have a chance to see some of the excellent products made by ZF, Geislinger, Schaller, Katsa, Masson, O&K, Bonfiglioli and Horn. Together with these partners we work intensively on electrification in the interest of a sustainable future. ZF for example will show her retractable Azimuth thruster 3000 and the 8300 PTI reversing gear, both equipped with a hybrid drive.
