The Mts RIAD is a brand-new motor tanker measuring 125 meter by 11,45 meter. The vessel stands out in the crowd by virtue of her special paint scheme and stainless steel details. The ship is owned by the Weima family, who decided to make their new ship Stage V ready, which in view of the future is a very sensible step.

We supplied two Masson W4400 reversing gears. The reversing gears are positioned behind the CAT C32 propulsion engines (2 x 746 @ 1650 rpm) and have a 4,448:1 reduction ratio. As with other recent deliveries we were allowed to make for this RensenDriessen designed type of vessel, both reversing gears are fitted with a PTO which drives the steering gear pumps. Also a towing lubrication pump was added, to enable single engine operation. Both reversing gears are fitted with Cat adaptations for pressure and temperature sensors that enable the CAT-system to display the relevant values.

The hull was designed, built and supplied by RensenDriessen Shipbuilding, while the fitting out was handled by Breko Shipbuilding & Repair. Last week a successful trial voyage was made, which makes the Mts RIAD ready for action.
