Don’t they stand out in the crowd? These azure blue reversing gears were pictured on our Gorinchem test stand for inspection and approval by a Bureau Veritas surveyor. The gears are destined for a European pusher tug undergoing a technical re-fit.

The customer demanded a very short delivery time to make sure the time-slot available for fitting the engines and gears could be met. In close cooperation with manufacturer Masson we managed to deliver within the tight schedule available.

Scope of supply:

• 2 x Masson reversing gear type MM W12000 with a gear ratio of 2,545:1 each driven by a 1000 kW@750rpm ABC motor.
• ZF micro commander based ADS control system with an MC 2000 control lever.
