Some very nice pictures of the Masson Marine W3450 reversing gear installed in the MV Bentley by Markerink. Our colleague Rick van Dalen was present at the successful sea trials of this 85 meter long cargo vessel.

We received the order for the supply of this Masson reversing gear from the Koedood Marine Group. The reducer gear has a reduction of 4,913:1 suitable for the existing vessel. The main engine is a Mitsubishi S12A2, with a power output of 701kW @ 1940 rpm.

We were also invited to supply an ADS van STIGT control system. This control system combines a ZF MicroCommander processor with a ZF 4100 handle. The system protects the propulsion installation, and provides controlled speed increase and decrease of the main engine by programming a so called “Throttle Ramping”.
