The Mts Monaco has passed her trial voyage

The Mts Monaco, a beautiful and generously dimensioned tanker with a length of 135 meter and a beam of 17,5 meter, has passed her trial voyage with flying colours. Doing so it started her operational life with Marbia Shipping of the Braeckman-Hellebosch family. The Monaco will be operated by NAVAL Inland Navigation of Antwerp.

Our colleagues were on the vessel last week together with Masson representatives @Pascal Lafarge and @Frederick Scouppe to admire this fine ship and its propulsion system. We also had the honour of being invited for the Christening and Blessing of the Mts Monaco on the quay in Werkendam.

Our Masson W7200 reversing gears are mounted behind the CAT 3512 Stage V propulsion engines (1.118 kW @ 1600 rpm) and have a reduction ratio of 5:1. The reversing gears are fitted with PTO’s to drive the steering system and the towing lubrication pumps. The monitoring takes places via the Cat-system.

The hull was supplied by RensenDriessen Shipbuilding, and the fitting out was performed by Den Breejen Shipyard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam.

We thank Mario Braeckman for the confidence placed in us, and wish the crew many safe and happy voyages!
