Windy sea trial with the Z-99 Aravis

The windy sea trial of the Z-99 Aravis took place on Thursday in the early stages of storm Eunice. ADS van STIGT colleagues Dave Plug and Tom Schuurmans were on board.  Dave, Tom and the vessel all came through with flying colours in spite of the adverse conditions. This modern flyshooter fishing vessel was built to a Padmos Yard design, and will be operated by Rederij Nele, which is part of Jaczon B.V. from the Netherlands.

On the vessel we have installed a ZF ToughGear gearbox, type ZF W10200 SG with a reduction ratio of 12,487:1. Also we supplied the control system with ZF Autotroll and 4 control stations, providing the skipper with smooth maneuvering. Next to the ZF equipment we also supplied a clutchable Katsa PTO gearbox to drive the hydraulic pumps.

We wish the Aravis and her crew many happy and safe voyages, and we thank the Padmos yard for the trust placed in us and the pleasant cooperation!
