Monitoring systems

With the monitoring systems oil mist detectors make up an important element. These OMDs give a warning when there is a danger of explosion at an increasing oil mist concentration within the engine’s crankcase. The detector can also prevent other damage to engine parts. Furthermore, we are able to provide monitoring of bearings or the ADS slip monitoring as to dredge-pump installations.

Schaller

Schaller Automation is one of the pioneers in oil mist detection. From the end of the sixties onwards, VISATRON oil mist detectors have protected the larger diesel, gas en dual-fuel engines all over the world. More than 50,000 VISATRONS have been supplied and installed on, among others, the engines of Wärtsilä, MAN, MAK and Caterpillar. Worldwide, one places one’s trust in the crankcase monitoring by way of Schaller’s VISATRON oil mist detection systems, both on board of seagoing vessels and on land.

We keep an appropriate stock of complete detectors and parts of the VN115/87, VN116/87, VN215/87, VN115/93, VN116/93, VN215/93.

Service

We provide servicing either in our workshop or in the field. Our Gorinchem workshop is specially equipped for servicing and testing Schaller VISATRONS using our climate chamber. Our engineers are certified by Schaller in Germany.


Horn

Horn has come up with an alternative monitoring by placing a sensor in the crankcase breather. The Tufmon MEV282 oil-mist detectors protect larger diesel engines all over the world. More than 20,000 Tufmons have been supplied and installed upon, among others, the engines of ABC, Wärtsilä, MAN, MAK and Caterpillar. Worldwide one places one’s trust in the crankcase monitoring of Horn’s oilmist detection systems, both on board of sea-going vessels and on land.

We keep an appropriate stock of complete detectors and parts of the Tufmon MEV281, Tufmon MEV282, Tufmon MEV282013, Tufmon MEV282113 and Tufmon MEV282203.

Service

Slipmonitoring

With the aid of, among other things the Horn EV188, we ourselves also build slip monitoring as to dredge-pump drives for the protection of the built-in multiple disc clutch.
